Ever since the hip-hop culture came into being, the growth of urban wear has been phenomenal that even skeptics have been having second thoughts about the absurdity of this fashion line. The funny part is, urban wear can be so main stream and yet so individualistic that most fashion gurus are having a hard time predicting what would be the next 'in' thing.
Urban wear is based on two principles ' that of being able to move around freely, and that of being able to express one's self without fear of being criticized.
However, although urban wear is constantly changing, the way some items are worn, remain the same.
If you think that in order to keep up with the latest in urban wear you have to spend hundred of dollars, you might need to do some rethinking. Let's start off with the sneakers. Although the latest sneakers would make you an urban wear fashion icon, knowing how to just keep it clean and fresh-looking can also achieve the same effect. If you want to change how your sneakers look, you can just go out and buy a new pair of shoe laces as well as some patchwork that you can sew on your sneaker yourself.
